HOW THE IDEA WAS BORN
My name is Ana Maria Kappeler, General Manager of El Cisne Clothing. After many years of painting with oil and acrylic, I had the idea to translate my designs not only in paintings to decorate the walls of a house but also in other kind of materials.
This material was fabric, but I wanted fabric which was part of a lifestyle that could wear my designs everywhere, even across borders, and one of the best garments that could capture this idea and also people transmit one message through them, it was on a t-shirt.
The idea went further, I wanted to incorporate a style and design of garments admired for its art and the way it is expressed in a garment, moreover, the technique was a reflection of a culture, arise to dye t-shirts in Indigo, an ancient technique that dates back to various cultures and that is how El Cisne Clothing was born, a combination of art, creativity and culture .
